School Program

Building Bridges is pleased to offer three behavioral classrooms for children with language and social disorders including autism spectrum disorder: primary (ages 6-8), kindergarten (ages 5-6), and preschool (ages 3-4). The curriculum includes instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, language, social skills and graphomotor skills. Functional and play skills needed in the classroom are also taught.

Small group and individual instruction is provided in a positive, enriching environment. Programs are individualized and closely monitored to maximize learning. Researched-based teaching strategies and curricula are employed. Direct Instruction, fluency, and personalized systems of instruction are used as well as hands-on activities.

The classrooms are headed by a special education teacher/behavioral therapist and supervised by two Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Another experienced behavioral therapist assists in each classroom. With a maximum of 6 students, children get the attention they need to succeed!
